Creo Medical have this week been recognised as the fastest growing firm in Wales – capping off a successful awards season for Creo, which has seen growing acclaim for the quality of their product, people and performance.
The Fast Growth 50 list, which celebrates the 50 businesses experiencing the most rapid growth in Wales, crowned Creo fastest growing business, fastest growing technology firm and fastest growing international firm at an awards ceremony in Cardiff.
Presenting the award, Prof Dylan Jones-Evans said:
Congratulations to Creo Medical for achieving a record growth rate of 9,260% between 2019 and 2021.
“In developing unique technologies that make a real difference to people’s lives across the world, this pioneering company is already a world class entrepreneurial business that is putting Wales on the map. They, and the rest of this year’s cohort, are a group of 50 phenomenal firms that out of a population of over 260,000 Welsh firms, are showing how to grow their businesses during difficult economic times.
Craig Gulliford, Chief Executive of Creo Medical, said:
Being recognised as the fastest growing company in Wales is a real honour and shows how far we have come over a short period.
Our unique technology is now being used worldwide and brings advanced energy to therapeutic endoscopy – facilitating the ability to remove lesions in the bowel and elsewhere without the need for surgery and the associated risks. Our roadmap for further growth now also includes partnerships with two of the world’s largest robotic surgery companies, Intuitive and CMR – so it’s a really exciting time for the company.
Our Chepstow HQ is also expanding to accommodate our growing team and production; the Fast Growth 50 award will take pride of place in the lobby!
The award follows success for Creo Medical at the MediWales Innovation awards (Overall Innovation Award), Insider Made in Wales awards (Best Medical, Life Sciences & Healthcare Business in Wales), Wales Tech Awards (Best Healthcare and Wellbeing Technology) and for Founder and CCO Chris Hancock personally as inaugural Technology Innovator of the Year at European Microwave Week.
With Creo put forward for several further UK awards over the coming months, it’s an exciting time for the company – something which is being acknowledged by peers and business leaders alike.
