Norio Fukami, MD, AGAF, FACG, MASGE, FJGES, is Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic, Arizona and Director of the Therapeutic Endoscopy and Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship programme, which specialises in a wide variety of therapeutic endoscopy procedures. He received his medical degree from Kyushu University Faculty of Medicine in Fukuoka, Japan, and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
He is actively involved in the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and has served for multiple ASGE Committees as well as running many ASGE courses as an educator and director. He is a currently chair of the ASGE ESD special interest group. He also serves as a member of the international committee for Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society.
He has authored many peer-reviewed papers, editorials, invited articles, and book chapters on therapeutic endoscopy, including EUS, ERCP, and luminal interventions. He was also an editor of the first English textbook on ESD. He was honored at the State Capital of Colorado in 2010, receiving recognition for excellence in cancer care with advanced endoscopic treatment, and 2018 he received the Master of Endoscopy Award from ASGE.

Dr. Zacharias Tsiamoulos is Lead Colonoscopist for the Southeast UK Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, and Director of the Endoscopy Department / Clinical Lead for East Kent University Hospitals in the UK (Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital, William Harvey Hospital, Kent and Canterbury Hospital).
Prior to this Dr. Tsiamoulos held the esteemed post of Clinical Endoscopy/Research Fellow and Senior Gastroenterologist /Endoscopist working in tandem with Professor Brian P. Saunders, at the Wolfson Unit for Endoscopy at St Mark’s Hospital and Academic Institute. He also has 3 months’ dedicated training in colorectal ESD at the National Cancer Center (Tokyo, Japan) under the supervision of Professor Yutaka Saito. Dr. Tsiamoulos has performed colorectal ESD on a weekly basis.
He collaborates with the National Cancer Centre and Mayo Clinic in the field of artificial intelligence and innovative technology (CROMA) for the characterization and excision of colorectal polyps, and delivers a live annual National Advanced Endoscopy Training course (the KENT Course) endorsed by the British Society of Gastroenterology.
